Therapeutic Somatic Yoga is a style of movement practice & body therapy that can foster a deeper sense of self awareness.  It can have several profound therapeutic benefits such as ;

* Reduced muscle tension and pain: Releases chronic tension and can alleviate symptoms like headaches, low back pain, and stiffness.

* Improved posture and alignment: Gentle movements help correct poor posture and improve overall alignment.

* Increased mobility and balance: Enhances mobility, range of motion, coordination, and proprioception (your sense of where your body is in space).

* Can also help to address specific issues such as frozen shoulder, breathing difficulties, pelvic floor concerns,

* Stress and anxiety reduction: The combination of mindful movement and breath awareness calms the nervous system and promotes relaxation.

* Enhanced emotional regulation: Helps regulate the body's stress response and promotes emotional balance.

* Increased body awareness: Fosters a deeper connection between the mind and body, leading to a greater understanding of physical and emotional needs.

* Healing from trauma: Provides a way to release trauma stored in the body and supports emotional and physical healing.

* Can lead to greater calm, a lifted mood, and reduced fatigue.

Slow and mindful movement: Emphasizes gentle, slow, and conscious movement to build a deeper connection to the body.

Nervous system regulation: Helps regulate the nervous system and release tension held in the body.

Meet Your Facilitator

Sharon is a Yoga Elder. Certified & insured with well over 1000 hours training, and 13,000+ teaching hours over a 23 year teaching career.

She is passionate about offering yoga that feels inclusive to all ages, shapes and sizes, so that anyone who comes to the class feels seen, valued and accepted for where they are right now in their journey

There are no difficult nor extreme postures in her classes, just a deep respect and honouring of the right to self agency and autonomy within practice

 

Medical Conditions & Pregnancy:
Some treatments may not be suitable if you have certain medical conditions. Please let us know about any relevant health issues when you book.

If you are pregnant or trying to become pregnant, please inform us at the time of booking. Maternity body treatments can be safely enjoyed from the 14th week of pregnancy onwards. For your safety, we are unable to offer treatments before then.

Cancellation Policy:
All bookings (including online) are subject to availability. Please note, we may occasionally need to change or cancel appointments.

To secure your booking, a 50% payment is required.

If you need to cancel, please give us at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment will be charged 50%.

If you don’t show up for your appointment (“No Shows”), the full amount will be charged. Future bookings will also need to be paid in full at the time of booking.

All yoga and meditation classes are subject to change, cancellation, or relocation. While we do our best to keep to the schedule, unforeseen circumstances may occasionally require adjustments. We recommend checking for updates before attending your class
