Yoga Nidra : ‘The Power of Rest’

Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation practiced lying down. It is the meditative heart of yoga, and can become an insightful and illuminating support in ones life.

It is an adaptogenic practice delivering that which is most needed in any given moment. So, if you are stressed & anxious, it may help to soothe and calm the nervous system. If you experience insomnia or sleeplessness, it may help to you to sleep. If you are tired, it can help you to feel well rested. If you are confused or uncertain, it can help you to gain insight and clarity. If you are convalescing, it may assist in your recovery from illness.

All done by simply lying down and resting.

We build a comfortable ‘nest’ with blankets / pillows / bolsters etc, and anything else that will aid your rest and relaxation, you lie down, and that is all the doing done. The rest of the time, you are guided by my voice through the practice. Sometimes people fall asleep and that is fine also
